2016 WATERMARK Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder Napa Valley

WA93+ Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder opens with Black Forest cake, espresso and cedar chest scents over notes of blackcurrant cordial, blueberry compote and licorice with a waft of lavender. The palate is medium to full-bodied with generous black fruit and a firm, fine-grained texture, finishing long and layered.
Estate Notes: This is a big aromatic cabernet sauvignon which enters sweet and concentrated. Dark raspberry, chocolate, and vanilla tickles the tongue, with a touch of coconut and toasted oak. A complex full bodied wine with a long finish that rounds out beautifully with the tannins.  This wine is great now but can be laid down until the mid 20’s or beyond. 250 cases produced.
