The 2017 Silver and Gold Chardonnay is another delicate offering off Black Knight Vineyards. Picked the day before the fires this chardonnay was the very last block picked by the winery once again. Primarily clone 4, the tropical notes fight their way through the racy acidity and minerality. When enjoyed closer to room temperature, wisps of pineapple can be found with a hint of reductiveness and char due to the Francois Freres oak. Very much burgundy on the Sonoma Coast, the 2017 Silver and Gold is the consummate food wine. 42 cases.
