WSI93+ Raspberry and licorice, dark plum followed by bright red berry notes and a long satisfying finish. Lots of power and restraint, very well balanced wine. Dry herbal notes mixed with delicate vanilla warmth.
The heirloom Charbono variety, hailing from the Savoie and grown with pride on our Calistoga ranch since 1904. Pomegranate and dark plum cut a groove amongst tart cherries and roasted sage.
Heirloom romanticism & south of France allure. Transcendent. Hand picked & cold soaked while awaiting the fermentation start. Then gentle hand punch downs. After extended maceration and dryness we
press directly to seasoned French oak barrels for native ML fermentation. These very traditional methods employed help capture the sense of place and time.
