2016 Côtière Chardonnay Talley Rincon Vineyard Arroyo Grande Valley Santa Barbara County

WSI94+ JD94 From the Arroyo Grande Valley, aged in a mix of barrel and tank, the 2016 Chardonnay Talley Rincon Vineyard is another ripe yet balanced white from this team. It’s incredibly complete and reveals terrific notes of pineapple and tropical fruits, medium to full body, beautifully integrated acidity, and a clean, classic profile on the palate that’s going to evolve nicely for at least 7-8 years.
Estate Notes: This vineyard is uniquely located in the Arroyo Grande Valley, beautifully situated between two coastal corridors. Originally planted in 1982, the Rincon Vineyard soils are shallow and mostly comprised of Diablo and dark Calcarious clays. These well established vines produce wines with distinct mineral characters and intense tropical flavors.
