2018 County Line Rosé

VIN91 The 2018 Rosé Elke Home Ranch is bright, crisp and absolutely delicious. Cranberry, chalk and floral notes are pushed forward, but it is the balance of fruit and acid that is especially fine in this vintage. This is a terrific wine from Radio-Coteau’s County Line label. I loved it.
Estate Notes: The 2018 County Line Anderson Valley Rosé instantly captivates with a blush pink hue and electrifying acidity. Aromas of finger limes and freshly squeezed lemon juice bound from the glass, coupled with notes of bright yellow pear and dried apricot. Hints of guava and orange blossom spill out alongside fresh cut roses and lemongrass, with a zip of white pepper on the finish. Bone dry with an unwavering minerality, this lively Rosé is the perfect accompaniment to fresh oysters. Try it in place of mignonette sauce and savor long after the oysters run out. 

The first five vintages of County Line were solely dedicated to producing a dry rosé from a whole-cluster pressed Champagne clone of Pinot Noir. A handful of varietals naturally followed. Use of traditional winemaking techniques and a shorter élevage in neutral French oak barrels or stainless steel, each wine is made to provide a cool-climate appellation snapshot of the Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, or the North Coast.
