2014 Fogline Vineyards Old Vine Zin Mattei Road Vyd Sonoma County

Our first release from the Mattei Road Vineyard located at 1800 feet on the Sonoma County side of the Mayacamas Range in the new Fountaingrove District AVA. This vintage provided ripe fruit that we decided to make into a late harvest wine with a bit of sweetness on the finish. This wine has distinct aromas of baking cocoa and dark cherry that combine with essences of Earl Grey tea on the finish. A fantastic choice to serve with a dark chocolate torte or by itself as the dessert course in place of port.
