The 2021 Soberanes Pinot Noir is typical of Pinot Noir from a premier vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. It is medium-full bodied wine with ripe cherry and red rose petals and a background of spice from the barrel aging. The balance between the boldness of the clone and the coyness of the varietal make for an enticing wine.

2021 Krutz Family Cellars Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay

TWI96+ The 2021 Chardonnay Soberanes Vineyard comes skipping out with expressive notes of grapefruit oil, green mangos and fresh pears, plus suggestions of orange blossom, acacia honey, and cashews. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock full of stone fruiting citrus flavors, supported by a racy backbone and satiny texture, finishing long and zesty.

Estate notes: The 2021 Krutz Chardonnay is an unfiltered blend between the new world Old Wente clone and the old world Montrachet clone. Aged sur lie for the life of the wine, there is a richness and complexity in texture that balances the present and refreshing acidity. Tropical fruit and the expected minerality from the Soberanes Vineyard are on full display with a backing of subtle oak and a lingering finish of lemon zest. 50% new French oak barrels. 13 months. 205 cases. 2020 Krutz Family Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

TWI96 The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of cassis, baked plums, and boysenberries waft from the glass, followed by hints of dusty soil, Indian spices, and wild sage. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers bright, fresh, youthful fruit with a grainy texture and spicy lift on the finish.
