2021 Cristom ‘Louise Vyd’ Pinot Noir Eola Amity Hills

JS94 Very pretty nose of jasmine, white rosemary, acacia, white peaches, pears, pie crust, cloves and lemons. Aromatically complex, with elegant and light-footed layers. Medium-bodied. Tight and bright.
Estate Notes: The 2021 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir is redolent of dark blackberry bramble, red currant, and cola with savory tobacco and spice. Well-integrated tannins lead to a persistent finish. Established in 1993, Louise Vineyard is named for Cristom Winegrower and Owner Tom Gerrie’s great-grandmother. Planted on the lowest slopes of the Cristom estate, Louise is more sheltered from the cold Pacific Ocean winds by a small forest and hillside and has the most geologically diverse soils with volcanic, marine sedimentary, and Missoula Flood silts. The resulting wines have softened, focused acidity, and intense complexity, with a richness contributed by the 26–30-year-old vines.
