Colder temperatures and sipping on wine make the perfect combination. While winter calls for more cozy-by-the-fire dining, we have curated the ultimate wine set that meets the needs for those cold winter nights. This wine set includes 3 wines that are bold, delicious and unique:
Noemi Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Deep concentrated red berries, meaty, slightly savory upon entry. Reveals a balanced textural density, with notes of jammy blackberry, plum, violet fruit – followed by a long, lively and mouthwatering finish. As with every vintage, this producer is consistently offering an unbeatable value from very fine sourced fruit. 400 cases
Paul Lato ‘Lumiere’ Grenache Larner Vineyard Santa Barbara County
WA96+ The 2018 Grenache Lumiere Larner Vineyard from Paul Lato is pure, vibrant and stunning, detailed and elegant like a fine Pinot Noir. Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the nose offers loads of spicy nuances with notes of aniseed, dried leaves, blood orange and a core of sweet berry fruits. The medium-bodied palate bursts with juicy, spicy, detailed fruits, finely grained and finishing very long and pure. Wow! Only 60 cases were made.
Domaine Les Hautes Cances Cairanne Rouge AC
JS93 A dense and focused blend of grenache, syrah, mourvedre and cinsault. It shows notes of sweet cherries, strawberries, wild herbs and baking spices. It’s full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Tense core of sweet berries and spices mingle at the center. It is well-built and has a spicy edge on the palate, bringing plenty of energy. Fruity and slightly chewy on the finish at this stage. Try after 2026.
