Wine Spectrum is currently seeking (remote) sales professionals interested in selling the best wines of the world. Busy people still prefer a personal touch. By maintaining a well-trained and experienced staff of Wine Advisors, Wine Spectrum provides new and returning customers alike with good, traditional, personalized service ~ along with some great wine!
The typical profile of our successful Wine Advisor: self-motivated, enthusiastic, good story-teller, prefers live conversation to email, seeks out the difficult pitch, does own wine industry research, takes the initiative and is confident of own skills and ability to engage with customers. Wine knowledge is important but eagerness, creativity and ability to engage with people is paramount. As is flexibility and the willingness to learn new sales approaches at all times.
An ideal candidate will:
- Have strong wine sales experience
- An ability to effectively CLOSE the sale
- Skills to effectively interact with customers via phone and email
- DTC, retail and remote experience necessary (1+ years)
- A basic-to-advanced understanding of wine from around the world
- Be self-motivated with excellent time management competence
- Organized, accountable and goal oriented
- Possess great relationship-building strengths
- Customer outreach skills through all available media (phone, email, social, etc)
- Computer savvy, quick to learn new programs/apps
- Working knowledge of common office programs and CRM functionality
- Access to reliable Internet, up-to-date computer & private work environment.Â
Unlike other careers in the wine industry, your weekends and evenings are free to spend with your family/friends and no traveling is required. The position is remote, requiring a firm schedule with accountability to sales goals.
