The Languedoc: A Region You Shouldn’t Overlook

With each passing year, our attention continues to be drawn to the Languedoc. Stretching from Provence to the Pyrenees, this coastal Mediterranean region produces wines that are bold, complex, and a true reflection of its varied terroir. Once known mainly for value wines (and, good news, value is still very much present), Languedoc is experiencing a renaissance, with new talent and organic practices driving a shift toward higher quality and more interesting expressions.

We’ve selected two wines from the region that embody what excites us about Languedoc today: wines that showcase its balance of sun-soaked richness and refreshing minerality. The region’s diverse soils, ranging from rocky schist to clay and limestone, impart depth, while the Mediterranean climate adds freshness, keeping the wines lively and food-friendly.

The wines of Languedoc are evolving, and it’s a region we believe deserves more of your attention.
