Grifola is 100% Montepulciano from a 40 year-old hillside vineyard t is a deep, rich wine with a plush core of sweet, dark fruit that gradually emerges as the wine sits in the glass. This elegant, full-bodied red offers notable elegance and balance. Old-vine Montepulciano once again dazzles for the intensity of its fruit and its superb overall balance. This 2012 feels very vibrant and there is still plenty of aging potential! Color: Intense ruby red color with purple hues. Shiny and impenetrable. Bouquet: On the nose is intense and broad with notes for cherries, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa and leather. Taste: Very powerful in the mouth with good acidity and smooth tannins.
