2013 Twomey (Silver Oak) Merlot ‘Soda Canyon Ranch’ Napa Valley 2013

WSI 94: A deep ruby color as you swirl it your glass gives way to hints of garnet. A bold nose of black cherry, coffee, licorice, and creamy bright fruit dominate are complimented with flavors of chocolate-covered cherries, and hoisin sauce on the palate. It has a long and full fruity finish buttressed by acidity. This is an elegant, nuanced, and texturally plush with velvety tannins. You might even call it soulful.
