2014 Colli di Lapio Aglianico Clelia Romano Vigna Andrea Taurasi

VIN92 Deep ruby. The very balsamic nose offers hints of flint, blackberries and herbs. Then also flinty in the mouth, entering sweet but turning more austere, minty and mineral and revealing nicely persistent eucalyptus nuances. Needs time, as it is still very youthful and chewy, though the tannins are noble.
JS92  I love how well the meaty and earthy nuances go with the dried-plum and tar accents. The full-bodied palate is very rich and cedary, but there’s a vibrant quality to the fruit and a bright, refreshing edge of acidity runs right through the center palate. Drink from 2021.
