2014 Courtesan Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Blue Mask’ Reserve Napa Valley

WSI94 There is just something so special about the Oakville terroir. I chose, as I always do, to conduct open fermentation and age in 100% French oak. Why? French oak brings out the wine’s feminine characteristic. Mercier, Taransau, Saury … I love them!
After 30 months( longer to age than most winemakers in the valley allow, but I’m not most winemakers and I don’t have anyone else to answer to) Dark cherry with hints of cocoa. Beautiful wine once you open and decant for 20 – 30 minutes.
A small lot of only 225 cases aged in 100% French Oak.
