2014 Gros Ventre Pinot Noir ‘Baranoff Vineyard’ Russian River Valley

The Baranoff Pinot differs from year to year, but has a common thread that distinguishes it from other Russian River Pinots and our other vineyard designates. We think it is due to the clonal variety of this site with seven Pinot Noir clones planted – Calera, Swan, 113, 115, 459, 667, 777. The 2014 offers a core of red fruit aromas woven with subtle green tea, clove, and tilled soil notes. Beautiful plum and violets scents, lots of lift and freshness, low alcohol. At only 97 cases produced. Unfined & unfiltered.
