Located 1,000 feet above the sea, Sierra Mar has a soil composition consisting of decomposed granite and gravelly loam which provides excellent drainage. The wines from this vineyard are consistently full bodied with great structure and moderate acidity, and commonly have flavors reminiscent of black cherries and toast.
This wine opens with a full bodied palate with great structure, has moderate acidity and flavors of black cherries, tea and toast. The finish is long with subtle tannins. Alc. 14.8% by volume.
