JS93 Bright black-cherry and lavender notes and a hint of something balsamic, make this sleek and elegant malbec enticing. As it flows across the palate, it seems to gain in structure, the finish turning decisively dry. This comes from a high-altitude vineyard in the Uco Valley. Linear and real. Drink or hold.
Estate Notes: This red wine is a deep violet color, with a predominance of fruity aromas reminiscent of blackberries and other berries; it also has an elegant characteristic and some spicy trait, very typical from the wines elaborated with grapes from Valle de Uco. It is intense on the palate, with great volume and fruity strength. Its sweet and silky tannins are combined with its frugal and round character that fills the mouth. A very good structure without astringency and balanced acidity that gives freshness and fluidity on the palate. Long, deep and elegant finish.
With deep historical roots in Argentina’s Mendoza wine region, Bodega Luigi Bosca has a longstanding commitment to innovation and quality. Founded in 1901 by Don Leoncio Arizu, Bodega Luigi Bosca is the country’s oldest family-owned winery. Today, Alberto Jr. and Alberto Sr., who represent the third and fourth generations of the Arizu family, jointly manage this venerable enterprise.
Bodega Luigi Bosca’s key vineyards in Mendoza are located in the prime growing areas of Maipu, Tupungato and Lujan de Cuyo. The seven proprietary names belonging to Bodega Luigi Bosca are: Finca La Linda, Finca Los Nobles, La España, Don Leoncio, El ParaĂso, La Puntilla and Los Miradores. Located between 780 and 1,150 meters above sea level, each of these vineyards is watered with pure melt-water coming down from the Andes Mountains.
Sourced exclusively from the estate’s Finca Los Miradores, located at an elevation of 1,150 meters in Villa Seca in the Valle de Uco subregion of Mendoza. Continental climate, with a wide range of temperature between day and night, and distinct seasons which contribute to good plant growth.
10 years ago; three separate selections of Malbec from other vineyards within the Bosca estate were planted in the Finca Los Miradores in order to select the best strain to produce this wine. The grapes that obtained the best expression were selected, and after a decade the vines have been settled in their terroir and have achieved a perfect balance to provide grapes of excellent quality. Grapes grown in Finca Los Miradores are biodynamically grown, yields are very low with approximately 1.25 vines producing a single finished bottle.
After more than 120 years of hard work, guided by a spirit of innovation in pursuit of quality, the Arizu family has earned its position as a leader in the nation’s wine history.
