This is our first attempt at a pinot noir from the legendary Sangiacomo Roberts Road vineyard just south and east of Santa Rosa. 2017 was an auspicious year with the incredible heat wave the first week in September. With temperatures soaring about 117 degrees just before harvest we didn’t know what to expect. The 115 took on a candied strawberry quality while the Pommard kept this pinot in check with an earthy core. Extremely light in color, but full in flavor. As it ages, the finish keeps elongating. 92 cases.
