38% Roussanne, 31% Petite Manseng, 18% Chardonnay, 9% Viognier, 4% Muscat. All grown on Estate Vineyards. Karakul used different sized barrels and some concrete eggs.Â
Here’s how he describes it: Nothing about this wine is shy or petite but it behaves with great spring and nuance and a downright lightness of the legs and a certain daintiness and grace and elegance that is alluring and alms teasing. The aromatics are made sprite and forward by the Muscat but there is a stoniness and mineralogy that seems kind of old world and chalky. The mouth is full and canvasing and creamy without feeling heavy or tiresome.Â
