Dark fruit and cocoa characteristics with enough acidity to balance the residual sugar component. Pair with BBQ and flourless chocolate torte. Aged in 25% new American oak and 25% new French oak with the rest in neutral American and French oak.
Vineyard Information
Grist is a 40 acre vineyard located high on Bradford Mountain in the northwest corner of Dry Creek Valley. The red volcanic soils give the wine fantastic natural acidity. The fruit comes into the winery perfectly in balance and ready for fermenta- tion with a minimum of intervention. It expresses its terroir with bright fruit flavors and structure.
