2018 Gramercy Cellars ‘L’idiot du Village’ Mourvedre Columbia Valley

WSI92 WE93 Aromas of black pepper, fresh herbs, pink peppercorn, flowers, raspberry, stem and rose hips lead to fruit and savory flavors that show elegance and balance, with a juicy, peppery finish. This is one for the dinner table. Decant and pair it with roasted pork loin.
Estate Notes: The 2018 Mourvèdre was fermented 50% whole cluster with native yeasts. It was aged for 18 months in large neutral oak barrels. Dried and fresh raspberries take over the nose and are balanced out with some green cardamom. It also brings up memories of the best pot roast Mom ever made. Yum!
