WSI94+ 73 Cases produced. Elegant, balanced, beautifully perfumed, an example of Howell Mountain wine at its finest. Surprisingly approachable in its youth yet structured to age for decades. Reminiscent of Napa Valley wines from the 80’s and 90’s. Vibrant red cherry, with a gravelly blueberry undertone. Lead pencil shavings, and dark chocolate. Gentle fine-grained tannin, with perfectly placed acidity lingers for a never- ending finish. 30 year old plus vines, on steep volcanic and shallow red clay soils. 100% new French Oak, aged 28 months. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
OB94 Kennedy Cellars ‘Howell Mountain ‘Cabernet Sauvignon was stored for 28 months in French oak before bottling. Anise, black currant cordial and loamy soils all fill the nose with sweet pipe tobacco accents. The palate is medium to full-bodied with very refined tannins and a silky entry once on the attack. The combination of perfumed red and dark fruits really make this sing. Enjoy this well-balanced beauty over the next fifteen years. (Owen Bargreen)
Tiny production, super select sourcing and delicious wines (we are getting a very good deal on pricing for this debut!).
Powerful and gracious wines – very deft use of fruit and tannin management – deeply satisfying now and with age-worthy qualities. This is definitely a producer worth following and tasting!

Our wine making principles are simple, do not compromise. Do not put yield per ton of grapes ahead of quality, do not rush the process of barrel aging simply to meet release dates, do not select inferior glass, labels or most importantly corks. Everything we do, we do in pursuit of our goal, crafting the finest wine Napa Valley can deliver.
KC works with two of Napa’s premiere viticulturists, Oscar Renteria and Mark Neal. Winemaker is Toshi Wakayama. Toshi had worked for two decades making countless wines, many times working under Napa icons like Kirk Venge, or Phillipe Melka.
