2018 Mark Ryan ‘Monkey Wrench’ Columbia Valley

WSI94 JD91 Plenty of spice, leafy herbs, sous bois, and coffee nuances emerge from the 2018 Monkey Wrench, which is 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot. As with many of these 2018s from this estate, it has a streamlined, narrower style on the palate, yet brings remarkable purity of fruit as well as terrific balance.
