2018 Red Stitch Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands

WSI93+ Unctuous, ripe and balanced. Full Malo, rich mouthfeel and delicate notes of pear and golden delicious apple, fresh acidity and honeyed accents – this is a beautiful Chardonnay that will pair with a variety of foods, especially Crab Soufflé!
WE92 Apple blossom and Fuji apple aromas combine with honeysuckle, toast and green-pear flesh on the nose of this bottling. It’s zesty and bright on the palate, combining Key lime pie, tart apple and slight Marcona almond toward the finish, where the citrus flavors linger long.
Estate Notes: At over 1,000 feet above sea level, this vineyard is one of the highest in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA and offers old world minerality found in elevated vineyards with a ripe, rich finish. Aromatics of crisp green apple and ripe pear, accompanied by Meyer lemon zest, hints of Madagascar vanilla and nutmeg flavors result in an elegantly structured yet decadent wine. 165 cases.
