WSI92+ Rich and dark wine. Aromas of cocoa, toffee, strawberry, violets. Brimming with flavors of cherry, raspberry, baking spices and a long layered finish.
This block of Zinfandel was planted on our estate in 2007 from cuttings off an old, local Zinfandel clone known as “Rockpile Clone” or “Cloverdale Church Clone.” The vineyard is certified organic and grown without the use of chemical fertilizer, pesticides or herbicides. This wine is planted as a field blend of 94% Zinfandel, 6% Petite Sirah, however, we pick the varieties separately to have better control over the blend. Being grown on the steep hillside of Bradford Mountain, this wine displays layers of complexity and acidity which will allow it to bottle age very well.
