JD93 The 2021 Pinot Noir Robert Road Vineyard is a jeweled ruby color and is ripe with raspberry fruit, fresh herbs, dark spices, and mossy earth. Medium-bodied and silky in texture, with a dark-fruited profile that’s light on its feet, this supple wine will drink well over the next 10 years.
JS93 Pretty, fresh and full of strawberries and red and black cherries, with sweet-seeming oak spices and a full body. Aged in 50% new oak barrels and showing beautiful concentration that keeps the fruit and spices glowing through the finish. Moderate tannins. Drink now or hold.Estate Notes: Even though we expect great aromatics from this site, nothing could prepare us for the wow factor that came when we popped the cork on our 2021 Roberts Road Pinot Noir. Quintessentially Pinot and then some, the nose opens with exotic notes of mulberry, boysenberry, and orange blossom followed by sweet vanilla, baking spice and chocolate. The palate holds its own with mouthfilling texture, polished red fruit and bright acidity that persists through the long. elegant finish.
