JD93-95 Beautiful, sweet cassis and blue fruits, as well as lots of violet and floral notions, emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a full-bodied, rich, concentrated barrel sample with wonderful purity of fruit, a good sense of freshness, and serious length on the finish. This promising, elegant yet powerful wine is going to shine with short-term bottle age and keep for two decades.
Estate Notes: The mid palate is perfectly balanced with massive amounts of blue and black fruits, followed with a full-bodied and buoyant mouthfeel that hovers across the spectrum of the palate. Perfectly integrated structure and polished tannins lead to a detailed and long finish that sails off into Cabernet Sauvignon supernova. A blend from five of our Cabernet Sauvignon blocks on the Rutherford Estate, this wine showcases the unparalleled terroir of the McGah Vineyard.
