WSI93+ The 2020 Colombard is a complex, aromatic, scintillating white wine. The nose is bright, pure and combines aromas of lemongrass, white stone fruits, citrus notes, Anjou under ripe pear, jasmine and wet pebbles. The palate displays layers of citrus, green apple, grapefruit and jasmine. The wine shows excellent texture, minerality and long finish. It is brisk and mouth watering. 300 cases produced.
Yannick Rousseau grew up in the Gascony region of France, influenced by his father and grandfather. Stewards of the land, they taught Yannick to respect and nurture his environment.
With that foundation, it’s no surprise that he’s become such a meticulous vineyard manager and winemaker.
Having come to the states in 1999 as assistant winemaker at Newton to Luc Morlet and Michel Rolland, Yannick honed his skills at Chateau Potelle and the Mt. Veeder appellation.
