2021 Domaine de Cristia Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

WSI93+ JD91-94 The style of the whites here has shifted recently, but the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc appears to be a subtle return to the richer style of the estate. Rocking levels of ripe peach and honeyed orange as well as toasted spice and licorice all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, with a round, layered mouthfeel, good acidity, and a great finish. It’s clearly an outstanding white that will stand on its own or shine on the dinner table.
VIN92 The 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is made of 80% Clairette and 20% Roussanne, aged for 6 months in demi-muids. It displays generous aromas of honeysuckle, quince, yellow apple, pear, white peach and cedar. Medium-bodied, deep and concentrated, it concludes with a sapid finish.
