2022 Auteur Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

WSI94+ TWI94 The 2022 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast comes from the Old Wente clone. Scents of lemon drops and lime leaves give way to a core of honeydew melon and baker’s yeast with a hint of brine. The light to medium-bodied palate is crisp and lively, with plenty of citrusy layers and a zippy finish.
Estate Notes: Tantalizing bouquet of jasmine, wet slate, and freshly harvested orchard apples. Subtle toast notes accompany zesty lemon acidity and a long, refined finish highlighting a remarkable structure. Three acclaimed vineyards – Durell, Bacigalupi, and Green Acres – capture the mineral vein of the vines rooted in the oceanic soils of Sonoma’s coastal landscape. Old Wente Clone, Aged 11 Months in barrels, 392 cases produced.
