WA95 The 2022 Riesling Isolation Ridge leads with lime blossom, crushed chalk, bath salts, preserved lemon rind, brine/ocean spray (funny, it’s about 85 kilometers to the closest coastline of the Southern Ocean), jasmine flowers and green apple skins. In the mouth, the wine is—as this wine usually is—structural, firm, powerful, long, energetic and mouthfilling in its laser-like way. Flavor kind of shoots around the mouth: pew, pew, pew.
