The vineyards of the Domaine Gérard Raphet extend over a dozen hectares around the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, the famous wine growing area in Côte d’Or in Burgundy, approximately 17km from Dijon. Gérard Raphet, a 4th generation winemaker, took over the management of the Domaine in 2002 alongside his wife Sylviane. They work hard to produce the best grapes in order to develop great wines in the future: Bourgogne, Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot including several Grands Crus and Premier Crus.
The Domaine has been handed down through at least four generations and has grown over the years. Gérard Raphet produces the most delicate wines. In fact, he says he is less worried about the colour of the wine, than the freshness and elegance of the fruit. It is the quality of the earth which, when looked after properly, provides quality fruit. Resulting in the finest wines.
