2022 La Pousse d’Or ‘Corton Clos du Roi’ Grand Cru

WSI97+ Aromas of black cherry, licorice, warm baking spices, some purple flowers. Sweet fruit surrounds a structured core; fine- grained tannins. Hand-harvested. Destemmed. Cold maceration for one week; fermented on indigenous yeasts in tank. Aged in French oak barrel (30% new) for 18 months. Minimal sulfur addition. Moved via gravity; bottled unfined and unfiltered. Estate vines total three acres in this east-facing grand cru. Soils are a classic Burgundian mix of limestone and clay
