From the lieu dit “La Moutte,” this tiny production rosé is made from Cinsault planted in 1970 and Syrah planted in 2000.
Medium-bodied, supple, and quaffable, conveying plenty of aromas and flavors of strawberry, cherry, and dried herbes de Provence. Finely crafted and thoroughly enjoyable. 80% Cinsault 20% Syrah.
The Saurel family has been tending these vines for generations, dating back to the 1800s, but it isn’t until recently that the current generation started bottling under their own family label. They have been Certified Organic since 2012, with the majority of their vines at least 50 years old. Vinification is traditional too, with a celler full of old, large foudres and cement tanks.
