VIN92 The 2023 Pinot Noir (West Sonoma Coast) is brilliant. Bold, racy and punchy, with terrific energy, the 2023 is a delight. Red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and orange peel are all front and center. Clean mineral notes frame the long, nuanced finish. Most of this fruit is from the Peay estate. This mid-weight Pinot has a lot to offer.
Estate Notes: In a vintage like 2023, this has everything you could hope for from a Peay Pinot Noir; elegance, complexity, depth of flavor, bright aromatics, approachability. The nose displays a balance of fruit, floral, and earth aromas featuring orange peel, pomegranate, cherry pipe tobacco, and underbrush aromas. The mouthfeel is bright but not nervy with a long finish and great depth of flavor.99% destemmed. Aged on lees for 11 months in 27% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 855 cases produced. 13.7% abv
